Bible Study Classes begin at 9:45am on Sunday mornings.

At FBC, maturing in the knowledge of our faith and belonging to a small group community is at the heart of who we are as a congregation.  Therefore, we are committed to providing quality classes for all adults.  Through a variety of options to choose from, individuals of all ages and stages in life can experience personal, spiritual formation by engaging with others in reading, learning and discussing God's Word, prayer, fellowship and outreach.  

Listed below are the classes to choose from.  It's our hope everyone will answer the call of Christ to be his disciples by joining a class and discover the difference!

Salt and Light Class: This is our Young Adult Class, ages around 30 and up. The Salt & Light class are a tight knit group who go through different contemporary studies that shed light on Scripture.

The Sonshine Class: We enjoy in-depth and intimate discussions of Scripture and faith-based issues in an informal setting. All ages are welcome!

Jack Shirley Class: This Sunday School class is named after one of the pillars of First Baptist, Jack Shirley. His family is still prominent to the Commerce community, serving others in love. This is another adult Sunday School Class that meets near the Heritage Room. 

Fellowship Class: The Fellowship Class is a congenial group of adults who truly enjoy and care about one another. Some are married couples, others are singles. Most of the members are retired and others are looking for retirement. However, all ages are welcome. Our teachers have extensive backgrounds in Bible/religious studies and offer interesting, thought-provoking lessons.
