adult bible studies

Our Sunday School classes meet every Sunday from 9:45-10:45a. There are signs on the ground level to help guide you to classrooms.


  • Salt & light class

    This is our Young Adult Class, ages around 30 and up. The Salt & Light class are a tight knit group who go through different contemporary studies that shed light on Scripture.


  • the sonshine class

    We enjoy in-depth and intimate discussions of Scripture and faith-based issues in an informal setting. All ages are welcome!


  • The JACK SHIRLEY CLASS


    This Sunday School class is named after one of the pillars of First Baptist, Jack Shirley. His family is still prominent to the Commerce community, serving others in love. This is another adult Sunday School Class that meets near the Heritage Room. 


  • Fellowship class

    The Fellowship Class is a congenial group of adults who truly enjoy and care about one another. Some are married couples, others are singles. Most of the members are retired and others are looking for retirement. However, all ages are welcome. Our teachers have extensive backgrounds in Bible/religious studies and offer interesting, thought-provoking lessons. 


  • Wednesday night prayer meeting

    On Wednesday nights at 6:15, following our meal, adults are invited to remain in the Fellowship Hall for a time of prayer requests, prayer and a Bible study led by Pastor Carlton. 


PRAYER MEETING TOPIC


Starting February 5th on Wednesday Nights, the adults will go through The Minor Prophets during the Prayer Meeting.

2/26 - Ash Wednesday Service

3/4 - Micah

3/11 - Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai

3/18 - Zechariah and Malachi
