Current Series: Beginning the Journey

On Sunday night, October 9th at 6pm in the Friendly 57 class we will begin a new Sunday evening bible study.  The study is called The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem and was written by Adam Hamilton.  Through this study we will prepare ourselves for Advent by exploring the stories leading up to the birth of Jesus.  We will utilize scripture as well as video of the areas where the stories are set.  Our journey will be accompanied by the gleanings of biblical scholars, theologians, historians and archaeologists.  I think you will find this a unique way to prepare for the season of Advent.  I can tell you from personal experience that the land in which Jesus was born has its own unique perspective to add to his story.  I think you will both enjoy and benefit greatly from this study.  We will meet for five nights: October 9^th and 23^rd and November 6^th, 13^th and 20^th.
