On Sunday, May 17, 2015 the church rededicated a marker that had been placed soon after World War I in memory of Raymond Ellis Luthi who died in the crash of a transport ship on (need date from marker). Members of the local American Legion post led the ceremony. The marker had been placed at the base of an older tree that had to be removed. Anew tree has been planted at the site of the marker. We are grateful for this opportunity to remember not only a local soldier but, also, all who have given or risked their lives in service to our country.
