I am pleased to report that Now Serving Atlanta was a great success!  Thank you to each of you who stepped up and brought snacks for the students to enjoy.  This year’s Now Serving was the best that I have been to in the three years I have attended.  Student ministers, seminary students, McAfee School of Theology, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Georgia come together to plan this weekend of service.  Then ninety some odd college students from Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama came to Now Serving to be the hands and heart of Christ working to share the action of love with others.  They provided some 600 hours of service on Saturday to 10 non-profit organizations in Atlanta.  Those organizations were:

    MedShare  http://www.medshare.org/

    United Methodist Children’s Home  http://www.umchildrenshome.org/

    CHRIS Kids  http://www.chriskids.org/

    Furniture Bank  http://www.furniturebankatlanta.org/

    Stewart Center  http://www.stewartcenter.org/

    Global Soap Project, Inc.  http://www.globalsoap.org/

    ToolBank  http://atlanta.toolbank.org/

Hands on Atlanta Discovery Program     http://handsondiscovery.handsonatlanta.org/

    Trinity Community Ministries  http://tcmatlanta.org/

    Edgewood Church  http://edgewoodchurchatlanta.org/

Thank you for being a church who supports college students as they continue to learn about who they are called to be and how to live out those callings.
